Visitors are encouraged to catch public transport and leave the car at home as roads will be closed and parking is limited in the area.
Parking & Road Closures
- Road Closures & Clearways: Be aware of changed traffic conditions in Windsor on Saturday 28 November 2026, from 10am to midnight, due to the Light Up Windsor Street Fair.
- No parking on George Street and Fitzgerald Street.
- No access to The Terrace via Fitzgerald Street.
Car
If you need to drive, allow plenty of extra travel time as traffic will be heavy while roads are closed and local detours are in place. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
- Event Parking: Parking is available at McQuade Park with shuttle buses providing services to help move people to the event.
- Street Parking: Very limited spots are available on surrounding residential streets.
- Disabled Parking: Dedicated disabled parking spaces are available at Kable Street Carpark. Please note that parking is limited.

Bus
A Shuttle Bus is available for Light Up Windsor. The Shuttle Bus stops are:
- Stop 1 – Windsor Train Station
- Stop 2 – Bus Stop opposite Windsor Public School
- Stop 3 – George Street before Catherine Street
- Stop 4 – Kable Street Bus Stop heading towards the Terrace
Train
The closest station to Light Up Windsor is Windsor Train Station. It is a 13 minute walk to the event site. Visit transportnsw.info and plan ahead.
