Light Up Windsor Street Fair proves to be the biggest ever!

More than 18,000 people came along to Light Up Windsor Street Fair on Saturday evening, 2 December to celebrate Christmas and enjoy all the fanfare and yuletide fun!

Santa and Mrs Claus were a huge hit with the lighting of the Christmas Tree being a highlight of the evening, while Council’s award-winning ‘Find a Reindeer’ passport activity was great fun for all the kids and their families to go find the reindeer for a prize.

The winner had found the bonus eighth reindeer – Rudolph – before the event as part of the Light Up Windsor event promotion. If you would like to participate in the ultimate prize draw in 2024, follow Council’s Facebook and Hawkesbury Events on Facebook to hear about it in advance!

Visitors enjoyed a silent disco in Thompson Square as well as snow flurries, Christmas lights, free face painting, roaming entertainment and free on-stage entertainment and fun family activities.

A bumper 70 market stalls extended along Windsor Mall, George Street and Baker Street. Market stalls offered for sale Christmas decorations, homewares, pet gifts, handmade jewellery and more, plus many of the Windsor Mall shops, cafes and restaurants were open.

Light Up Windsor brings the community together and it is a major economic driver for local businesses. In 2022, Light Up Windsor injected a 30.38 per cent boost to the Windsor economy for total $1.373 million retail and dining and entertainment spend for the day.

Light Up Windsor is presented in conjunction with the Windsor Business Group. Hawkesbury City Council thanks event sponsors Windsor RSL, Western Sydney Airport, Ray White Windsor and Blossom Hair Body, Face and Wig Boutique.
